Milwaukee Bucks vs Brooklyn Nets betting preview | News Article by sportsbettinghandicapper.com

On Tuesday, February 28th, the world will get a chance to see an immovable object — a moniker that suits both Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks who have won 14 straight contests going into this matchup — and a… surplus of the NBA’s most valuable archetype, big, two-way wings in the Brooklyn Nets.

While this should be a pretty straightforward victory for the Bucks who have the obvious upper hand when it comes to top-tier talent, the rest of the league should tune into this game to see how Giannis and company are able to tackle a defense that has the length necessary to try to mitigate the Greek Freak’s long gaits to the rim.

After the trade deadline, the Nets found themselves in a unique situation. Both of their superstars, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, had demanded to be traded away from the team, and Brooklyn granted their wishes.

Normally, an organization that just lost its top two talents would be looking to tear it down further in hopes of losing every game possible to maximize its chances in the NBA Draft Lottery.

The Nets, however, couldn’t move forward with this strategy, as all of their own future picks belong to the Houston Rockets due to the James Harden trade that went down two seasons ago.

Without the draft incentive to lose, the Nets held onto the veteran talent that they acquired in the Irving and Durant trades and have formed a team that’s both competitive and fun to watch.

As mentioned earlier, they have a plethora of switchable wing defenders that can make life difficult for even the most outrageously gifted scorers, as they’d have to try to find a clean look around or over the length of players such as Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Royce O’Neal.

With their current level of talent and depth, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Brooklyn upend one of the true contenders in the league on any given night, and if there’s any team with the capabilities to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo, it would be the Nets.

The Milwaukee Bucks, however, are scorching hot and seem to be hell-bent on surpassing the Boston Celtics for the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

This should make for some extremely fun and competitive basketball and could even be a teaser into how opponents will game plan to slow down Giannis when they face him in the postseason.
