Summer's not over and neither are the sports betting profits from these under-the-radar winners | News Article by Sportsbettinghandicapper.com

The summer is quickly coming to a close, which means mainstream sports like the NFL, NBA and college football will consume the sports betting markets while those lesser-known leagues, that have kept us company all season will fade into the background and eventually end.

But it’s not over yet. If you’re still hunting for value in the smaller sports betting markets, like the WNBA, CFL and MLS, these are the hottest betting trends in those respective leagues.

WNBA: Chicago Sky (17-9-1 ATS)
Chicago currently sits fourth overall in the WNBA standings but is at the top of the pile in terms of profits. The Sky started the 2019 WNBA season with some inconsistencies, jumping out to a 6-6 SU mark with a 6-5-1 ATS record in the opening month of the schedule. But then Chicago found its form on offense and hasn’t looked back.

The Sky are averaging almost 86 points per game since July and all those buckets have helped the team cover the spread in 11 of its last 15 outings. Defense is it’s biggest weakness, so the Over has also been just as profitable with Chicago posting an 11-3-1 Over/Under mark in that same 15-game stretch.

CFL: Saskatchewan Roughriders (6-2 ATS)
The CFL season is still young, with most teams only playing eight or nine games so far. However, the Riders are the peak in profit potential by covering the spread in six of their first eight outings (Hamilton and Winnipeg are also making money at 6-3 ATS each).

Saskatchewan has covered in four straight games (and comes off a bye) heading into a Week 11 home game versus Ottawa, with books giving 10 points to the visiting RedBlacks. The Roughriders are the best two-way team north of the border, ranked second in both yards for and against while outscoring opponents by an average margin of more than five points per game.

MLS: Los Angeles FC (18-4-3)
When people think L.A. soccer, the Galaxy immediately come to mind. However, the “other” team in La-La Land is making soccer bettors see stars with their efforts on the pitch this summer. LAFC tops the entire MLS in wins and has outscored opponents by an average margin of 1.68 goals per outings, making them not only a great play on the three-way odds but also a solid spread bet for those seeking better returns through alternative wagers.

Los Angeles FC has already clinched a playoff berth with about two months remaining in the regular season, so beware them resting players as the schedule winds down in late September. However, until then, bettors should try to find ways to squeeze all the value they can from this elite club. LAFC is 10-0-1 at home and plays six of its final nine game at Banc of California Stadium, including two huge matchups with the L.A. Galaxy (Aug. 25) and Minnesota United FC (Sept. 1).
