Their last loss came on the road against unranked Auburn.
Ole Miss has a strong offense but an even stronger defense. They will need that defense to step up to win this game on the road against the pass-heavy Mississippi State offense.
Mississippi State is 7-4 after their dominating 55-10 win over Tennessee State in their last game.
Quarterback Will Rogers could not be stopped and ended with 391 passing yards and five passing touchdowns. That victory was Mississippi State’s second in a row.
Mississippi State is 2-2 against ranked teams this year. Even though they are not ranked, they know how to beat ranked teams.
I believe that Ole Miss is the better team, but Mississippi State has the edge because they are playing at home. They have a strong defense and a terrific passing offense. If Mississippi State sticks to what they know, they should win this game behind their home crowd.
