NFL Draft QB Rankings | News Article by

The NFL draft is around the corner and the top of the draft is still offering a lot of intrigue. There are a few QB’s that would seem to be no doubt early picks, and they will be, but they aren’t without their issues.

The far and away best prospect on the field is tiny. The second best looks afraid.

#1-Bryce Young-Young’s career at Alabama was outstanding. He has an impeccable feel for the game as the point guard of his offense, terrorizing opponents both within the structure and when a play breaks down.

His ability to create off-script while maintaining masterful field vision is a rare trait that simply can’t be taught. Young also demonstrates pinpoint accuracy to all levels of the field from the pocket, and more than enough arm talent to execute any throw required of him in an NFL offense.

His significant lack of size, which makes him an all-time outlier at the quarterback position, is the only real concern about his game.

2023 NFL Draft QB rankings

  1. Bryce Young, Alabama Crimson Tide
  2. C.J. Stroud, Ohio State Buckeyes
  3. Anthony Richardson, Florida Gators
  4. Will Levis, Kentucky Wildcats
  5. Hendon Hooker, Tennessee Volunteers
  6. Tanner McKee, Stanford Cardinal
  7. Jake Haener, Fresno State
  8. Aidan O’Connell, Purdue Boilermakers
  9. Jaren Hall, BYU Cougars
  10. Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia Bulldogs

#2-CJ Stroud-Stroud has everything you could possibly want from a pocket passer. The arm talent is there, as is the accuracy and ball placement to all levels of the field – young quarterbacks with his level of understanding of leverage aren’t too common.

He also earns more opportunities to feature those abilities by manipulating the pocket, resetting, and attacking downfield. The primary concern about Stroud’s game has long been about his ability to create outside of the structure, but he finally broke through in that regard with a spectacular performance against Georgia’s vaunted defense in the College Football Playoff.

He’s a future Pro Bowler if that’s the player we get consistently at the NFL level.

#3 Anthony Richardson-The best all-around athlete to ever come to the draft, with potentially the most up and down tape to accompany him. If you want a guy to walk off the bus, he is the man you want.

He has shown some spots of being superhuman, but the easy stuff he makes look hard. In the NFL, you need to make the easy play and have the ability to explore. He has the ability to explode but also could go 3 and out for a whole half, and no one would be surprised.

#4 Will Levis-Just like Richardson, Leivs looks to be created out of a lab to play QB. Built like a yolked-up tight end, he has all the tools to be a star. He also has all the makings of a huge bust.

He was unable to beat out Sean Clifford at Penn State for a couple of years. He got to Kentucky and had a great first year, but last season he was mediocre at best. He is Boom or Bust. I am leaning toward an absolute bust.

The simulation model, which simulates every Football game thousands of times, is up +38.5 units over the last three years. We have released 388 total games with 209 WINS and 179 losses ATS for a win % of 53.87%. A $100 bettor of our Football games would have netted a profit of $3,850 and, a $1,000 bettor would have won $38,500 just on the NFL picks. Now is the time to sign-up and start winning.
